The Kordofan Journal of Medical & Health Sciences (KJMHS) is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Kordofan, El-Obeid, Sudan.

Established to advance the dissemination of medical knowledge and promote evidence-based healthcare practice, the journal provides a platform for researchers, clinicians, educators, and public health professionals to publish high-quality original research, review articles, case reports, and short communications in all fields of medical and health sciences.

The scope of KJMHS covers but is not limited to:

  • Clinical medicine and surgery

  • Basic medical sciences

  • Nursing and allied health sciences

  • Public and community health

  • Epidemiology and preventive medicine

  • Medical education and healthcare management

Each issue is published twice per year (biannually), featuring current topics of regional and global relevance with a special focus on health challenges and innovations in Sudan and Sub-Saharan Africa.

KJMHS follows rigorous double-blind peer-review procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, and originality of published manuscripts. The journal operates under an open-access policy, allowing unrestricted online access to all published content to support knowledge sharing and academic collaboration.
